For twelve days, spread throughout the summer, residents will meet a bus at Richardson County Park in New Cuyama that will take them to the Paul Nelson Aquatics Center in Santa Maria. This program will be entirely free of charge and is offered by the Santa Barbara County Community Services Department.

The Joseph Centeno Aquatics Complex in New Cuyama is closed for the 2013 summer due to damages to the pool area foundation that occurred over the winter off-season.

First District Supervisor, Salud Carbajal said, “I am so delighted that our Parks staff was able to provide the Cuyama community with an alternate swimming pool program for this summer while the pool in New Cuyama is being fixed. I wish the children a fabulous summer!”
