The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear Steve Pappas’s voter fraud case against 3rd District Supervisor Doreen Farr, thus bringing Pappas’s long-running quest to a close. Pappas contested the results of the 2008 election — which he lost to Farr, along with the 2012 election — and has lost at every legal level from the trial court up through the appellate courts. He also was ordered to pay Farr’s substantive legal fees resulting from the case.

Can we finally put the 2008 election to rest?

Pappas really wants us to know he's pig. Hey Steve, we got the message in 08, go back to your trough on the Crawford-Hall ranch.

This is what the headline should say...

Did this guy inspire those bumper stickers that say: "PAPPAS AND BEER"?

The most profound irony of this saga would be if Nancy Crawford-Hall was the one who paid Pappas' debt. If that is the case, then Ms. Crawford-Hall would end up being the single largest contributor to Doreen Farr's political campaigns. Considering Ms. Crawford-Hall's distain for all things liberal in general and for Ms. Farr in particular, her payment of $700,000 to the Farr campaign would provide enough irony for a decent post-modern novel. The only good thing to come out of all this is that the outcome may discourage frivolous lawsuits by vexatious litigants.

I don't like Farr very much, but if Pappas is the best we can come up with to contest her seat, then truly this county is in trouble!

Maybe Pappas can work as a stable boy for Ms Crawford-Hutt to pay her back.
