Doggies and Bedtime Stories

All for Animals’ Pups ’n’ PJs Pawty

Bedtime stories delight children; add doggies to the mix, and it’s a kid’s dream come true. Knowing this, All for Animals has organized Pups ’n’ PJs Pawty, an event that combines reading books aloud, milk and cookies, and furry four-leggeds to cuddle with and read to. According to All for Animals’ website, “Research has shown that children who read to dogs dramatically increase their reading and comprehension skills.” Founded in 1997, All for Animals introduces kids to critters in a safe, fun atmosphere to help promote a lifelong relationship with our furry friends. Kids are encouraged to come to Curious Cup Bookstore (929 Linden Ave., Carpinteria) dressed in their favorite pajamas on Saturday, May 4, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20; space is limited. For more info, call 805) 682-3160 or visit allforanimals.com.
