Victim Knows Suspect as ‘Rob’

A 44-year-old man living at the Motel 6 in Carpinteria was stabbed Thursday night and Sheriff’s detectives are on the hunt for the suspect wanted for attempted murder.

The victim, who knows the suspect as “Rob” and said they worked together and had an altercation several months ago, was stabbed in front of his room at around 10:15 p.m. The victim’s roommate ran to the hotel lobby to alert the clerk to call 9-1-1.
