On Friday, October 25, The Women’s Council of Sansum Clinic hosted a town hall meeting to discuss the complete breast care continuum. Our panel of experts covered topics including breast cancer prevention, genetic testing, breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and reconstruction.

Panelists and the questions they addressed included:

Kathy Pojunas, MD – Radiology – What should women do for breast imaging?

Rosa Choi, MD - General Surgery – Will a mastectomy save my life?

Tammy Stockero, RN, BSN, OCN – Breast Care Navigator – What does a breast care navigator do?

Danielle Sharaga, MS, LCGC – Genetic Counselor – What is the role of a genetic counselor?

Warren Suh, MD – Radiation Oncology – Does every patient need radiation?

Fred Kass, MD – Medical Oncology – Does every woman need chemotherapy or hormonal therapy after surgery, and how is that decision made?

Wesley Schooler, MD, MAFCS – Reconstructive Surgery – When should a patient consult a reconstructive surgeon?

Attendees brought their questions and participated in open discussion about breast health.
