Martin Leo Maguire, who ran head-on into a Canadian couple riding their motorcycle across the country in May, pleaded guilty last week to felony driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs causing injury, and admitted to having a prior reduced driving under the influence conviction in 2009. The accident took place on Old Coast Highway, and both of Maguire’s victims lost a leg in the collision. Maguire faces a maximum of nine years in prison and will be sentenced 1/8.
