MOVEMBER TEAM “THE HOT TOMALI’S” LAUNCH MUSIC VIDEO TO CHANGE THE FACE OF MEN’S HEALTH
Team Ranked in Top 20 in the US in Raising Most Funds & Awareness
Movember Team “The Hot TomAli’s” is thrilled to share the launch of their much anticipated music video that showcases their unique perspective and fantastic sense of humor to raise support for men’s health initiatives. Currently ranked as one of the top 20 teams in the nation for raising the most funds, the momentum is high with the goal to lead the pack as “America’s Team” to raise over $100,000 by month’s end.
“We’re just two regular guys with a guitar, a saxophone, and a dream – to motivate men to take their physical and mental health seriously and get checked out regularly. And if we make a few people laugh along the way….awesome!,” said Tom Adams and Ali Azarvan, team captains of The Hot TomAli’s. “We decided to produce a music video to showcase our passion for a cause that is near to our hearts, while also inspiring a larger network of community support nationwide. Whether team members donate $1 or $1000, we want America’s team the Hot TomAli’s to know that they are a part of something truly unique and special.”
In the US, one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime making it the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men after skin cancer. In 2013, over 238,000 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed and almost 30,000 men will die of prostate cancer in the US alone. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men between the ages of 15 and 35.
Movember is the global men’s health charity encouraging men to grow and women to support the Mo (moustache) for the 30 days of November. Through the power of the moustache, AWARENESS AND FUNDS are raised for men’s health to combat prostate and testicular cancer. In the US, programs directed by the Movember Foundation are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer, and research to achieve our vision of an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.
In 2012, over 1.1 million Movember members around the world joined the movement, raising USD $147.0 million. In the US, over 209,000 Mo’s raised $21.0 million.
