Carbajal Gets Invite From Biden

Vice President Joe Biden recently invited 1st District Supervisor Salud Carbajal to his Washington, D.C., home for an October 8 dinner in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Because the reception falls on the same day as a supervisors’ meeting, Carbajal said he thinks it’ll be unlikely that he’ll be able to go. “It’s exciting and an honor to be included,” said Carbajal, who was also invited to a June climate change speech by President Obama.
