The 8.2 magnitude earthquake that hit northern Chile Tuesday night has produced no tsunami warnings for the region or California, accroding to the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management. As reported by the New York Times, “heart attacks or falling debris” in the wake of the earthquake killed six people.
