Last Friday, Santa Barbara filmmaker Larry Nimmer was working on a new project he calls Everyone Has a Story, when “all of a sudden, Al Gore and his daughter’s wedding party showed up,” he said in an email. “And, before we knew it, they were getting married under the Torrey Pine on the Lucky Llama coffee house’s property.” Nimmer got out his iPhone and filmed the intimate ceremony between Sarah Gore and Patrick Maiani, a Santa Barbara real estate agent. Al Gore declined to be interviewed by Nimmer, who later kicked himself for asking an admittedly awkward question of the former vice president. See the video below.

Sarah and Al Gore ate at Crushcakes after the wedding. "Al Gore was wonderful and sweet to me and all of our staff!" said owner Shannon Gaston. "What an amazing celebration, we are honored to be a part of it!!!"
