Free Sandbags Before the Storm

Santa Barbara residents needing sandbags for protection against the storm due to hit Thursday can head over to the city’s Corporate Annex Yard at 401 East Yanonali Street today until 8 p.m. Residents can take up to 20 free sandbags, which they have to fill themselves; bringing gloves and a shovel is recommended. The National Weather Service has predicted up to four inches of rain through Friday, and flash-flood warnings have been issued.
