I read The Indy cover to cover every week and usually find interest on every page. “A Santa Barbara Homecoming” is a pointless article. It doesn’t reveal much about who he is or why we should care that he came “home.” The writing lacked depth and was light on human interest. It says that Donnie Hedden wrote the piece — perhaps an editor should have helped with the writing. I didn’t enjoy it, and it left me wondering why I had wasted the time to read it. I’ll skip your next installment of “Random Person Moves to Santa Barbara.”
