12/26-12/27, 12/29-12/30: High School Boys’ Basketball: Santa Barbara Holiday Classic The action will be nonstop at S.B. High School as 16 teams play four games in five days (no game on Sun., Dec. 28). There will be eight games per day. The host Dons, 9-1 through last weekend, have been a hot-shooting team, topping 90 points in two of their last three games. They open up at Friday against Roosevelt High of L.A. Bishop Diego and Carpinteria also will participate in the tournament. Thousand Oaks, led by senior guard Matt Hauser, who is committed to Santa Clara, looms as a prime championship contender. Fri., 7:30pm; Sat., Mon.-Tue.: 9am-9pm. J.R. Richards Gym, S.B. High School, 700 E. Anapamu St. Free-$6.
