Authorities Release Name of Man in Fatal Traffic Accident

Ryuta Yamaguchi was Jogging on Refugio Road When He was Hit


The 45-year-old man killed while jogging on Refugio Road last Friday has been identified as Ryuta Yamaguchi of Santa Yanez. Yamaguchi was hit by a minivan — driven by 89-year-old Grace Cota — early Friday morning when he entered an intersection at Refugio Road and Deer Trail Lane. Yamaguchi was transported to Santa Yanez Cottage Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 7 a.m. The incident is still under investigation.
