Jewels of the Valley Chumash Casino Resort Hotel and Hotel Corque Named AAA Four Diamond Award Winners for 2014

At the Chumash Casino Resort Hotel, diamonds are a guest’s best friend. After all, it’s the guests who reap the biggest benefits of the Resort’s AAA Four Diamond Award. This marks the 10th consecutive year the Chumash Casino Resort Hotel has received this coveted honor. Hotel Corque is also part of this elite rank of Four Diamond hotels, earning the award for the third year in a row.

So what does this mean for guests? They get the peace of mind that comes with staying at a Four Diamond-rated property. Hotels that earn the coveted recognition maintain a very high standard of service.

“Everything always has to be above average,” explains John Martino, executive director of hospitality. “The expectations from guests are higher, and we aim to meet those standards 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

The Chumash Casino Hotel and Hotel Corque are two of only five hotels in the Santa Ynez Valley to receive AAA Four Diamond status in 2014. The other hotels are The Ballard Inn, Petersen Village Inn and Santa Ynez Inn. Award-winning properties receive the coveted rating plaque that features a design of four raised simulated diamonds and the AAA Four Diamond logo.

Only 5 percent of the more than 29,000 properties approved in North America by AAA make the list. To become AAA approved and diamond rated, hotels and restaurants undergo a rigorous inspection by one of AAA’s specially trained full-time evaluators. The Automobile Club’s staff reviews establishments without prior notification to ensure that they experience a hotel just as a guest would.

The Chumash Casino Resort Hotel is located in Santa Ynez and is part of the Chumash Casino which offers 24/7 gaming, fine dining and headline entertainment. The hotel also has the only full service spa in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Located the quaint town of Solvang, Hotel Corque offers visitors the ultimate wine country escape. Both properties are owned by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians.
