Summer Arts Preview 2014

Solstice Kicks Off Three Months of Stellar Events

We may place Summer Solstice under the greater heading of “dance,” but in reality it’s so much more. It’s music and performance art, theater and visual spectacle, and it encompasses so many of the things all artists strive for. It’s communal and collaborative, and it’s shared with the masses in a big, community-first kind of way. As such, Solstice makes for the ideal kickoff to a season that seems to be bursting at the seams with art. In the following pages, we’ll give you our picks for this summer’s must-see theater, visual art, dance, and live music events, because there’s still plenty to look forward to after this weekend comes to a close — we promise.
