This Friday at the Canary Hotel, free nightlife discovery app Night Out and concert promotion company We The Beat are teaming up to create the ideal summer night. Guests attending Summer Nights on the Roof will enjoy a 360-degree view of Santa Barbara from the coveted Canary rooftop. There will also be a cocktail bar and models sporting bikinis — all in celebration of the launch of eco swimsuit company Summer Love Swimwear. The event is being held from 7 to 11 p.m. with tickets available at nightout.com.
After building a strong relationship with Night Out, fledgling Santa Barbara start-up We The Beat is excited to branch out and kick off another side of their business. Jon Salontay, We The Beat’s promotions, media & merchandise designer, comments, “Tonight is just the beginning of a series of events with Night Out [and] we are ecstatic at the opportunity to bring a fresh vibe to Santa Barbara’s social and cultural music scene.”
Since launching in 2013, We The Beat has brought in a successful strong of sold-out shows featuring internationally recognized electronic artists like Flume, Goldroom, Le Youth, and soon Cherub. Though the operations started at SOhO Restaurant & Music Club, due to their success they’ve recently been able to expand to Indochine, EOS Lounge, and now the Canary. And they’re not only promoting concerts; their website also offers a wide selection of streaming music and covers indie, electronic, and rap music news. “It’s amazing to see how much we’ve grown since our first SOhO show in October,” says Tom Ugarte, We the Beat’s website design and talent buyer. “We’re all very grateful for the support the community has given us.”
