The Santa Barbara Vintners (SBV) and Santa Barbara- and Solvang-based destination management company and event production firm, Relevé Unlimited, have officially announced that ‘Jamestown Revival’ will perform as musical headliner at the April 13, 2014 Farm-to-Table Picnic and Concert event capping off the “Santa Barbara Vintners Spring Weekend” wine festival. Relevé Unlimited, event producer partner for the Santa Barbara Vintners wine country events, has secured Jamestown Revival, a band that melodiously blends Americana/Folk, Texas twang, back porch indie rock with Lauren Canyon harmonies – proving to be one of the most promising new bands of the year – for this exclusive live performance. The April 13 performance, to be held at Fess Parker Winery & Vineyard, falls in the midst of a lengthy tour schedule that has Jamestown Revival crossing the country in support of the band’s debut album, “UTAH”, released earlier this month.

The announcement of the special Jamestown Revival concert in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country, comes on the heels of a media-heavy schedule for the harmony-driven musical duo – Texas natives, Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance – who have recently appeared on TV shows “Conan O’Brien” and NBC’s “Last Call with Carson Daly”, as well as on the “Morning Becomes Eclectic” radio show, broadcast on award-winning NPR-affiliate, KCRW. Jamestown Revival has also been covered by the likes of Rolling Stone, the Country Music Channel and The Wall Street Journal.

“I was reading The Wall Street Journal a week or so ago, and there they were…Jamestown Revival. They struck me as the perfect fit for this particular festival event, and the vineyard venue. I immediately reached out to them, and they’ve graciously agreed to do this concert – taking a step aside from their year-long tour to entertain the Vintners Spring Weekend guests,” said Diane Hamilton, president of Relevé Unlimited.

In December 2013, the SBCVA announced its new partnership with Relevé Unlimited. The new partnership is intended to expand upon the scheduling and exposure of previous years’ Santa Barbara Vintners Spring Weekend and Santa Barbara Vintners Celebration of Harvest Weekend, via the addition of regional, ongoing, year-round wine industry events surrounding the SBV’s overall mission, as well as the two seasonal festivals. Both the 2014 Santa Barbara Vintners Spring Weekend, to be held April 10-13, and the Santa Barbara Vintners Celebration of Harvest Weekend, to be held October 9-12, will now entail various events covering multiple days, catering to consumers, media and other trade individuals.

The four-day Santa Barbara Vintners Spring Weekend – expected to draw upwards of 5,000 attendees – will take place at venues spread throughout the Santa Barbara County wine region, and will have an event schedule to include a consumer and trade educational seminar series, a celebratory 90+ top-rated wine dinner, a golf tournament, vineyard hikes, exclusive VIP events, the annual Vintners’ Spring Festival/Grand Tasting at Buellton’s River View Park, and as a weekend finale, the Farm-to-Table Picnic and Concert at Fess Parker Winery & Vineyard.

Hamilton continued, “Our partnership with the Santa Barbara Vintners is meant to gain more momentum for the region’s wine industry, and to provide a variety of new, exciting and engaging opportunities for enhanced exposure for the Association’s members, and the festivals’ sponsors and vendors. Jamestown Revival’s exclusive performance at the Spring Weekend finale, will be a fabulous draw and extends our reach to a wider audience, bringing our mission to a larger scale.”

The Sunday, April 13 Farm-to-Table Picnic and Concert, featuring Jamestown Revival, runs 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Fess Parker Winery & Vineyard is located at 6200 Foxen Canyon Road, Los Olivos, CA 93441. The event includes a farm-to-table, communal style picnic and a live musical entertainment line-up with additional performers to be announced. Tickets, priced at $125.00 per person, include the picnic lunch and a wine glass; $95.00 per person tickets are also available, including the wine glass but no picnic lunch. Tickets are available for purchase, here.

About Jamestown Revival

At the heart of Jamestown Revival is a friendship that spans more than a decade. Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance grew up together in the small Texas town of Magnolia where, from a young age, they shared a love for music as well as the outdoors.

At one point or another, music from Creedence Clearwater Revival and The Everly Brothers, to fellow Texans Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, found its way to the pair, influencing their musical foundation. At the age of 22, Clay and Chance moved to Austin, TX and began to craft a sound of their own: Deeply rooted in harmony, they merged the sounds of the South, with classic American and Western rock.

Looking for adventure, as well as a change of pace, the duo eventually decided to head west, making the move to Los Angeles, CA. Throughout the course of the next 12 months, Clay and Chance wrote what ended up as Jamestown Revival’s first full-length album, “UTAH”, whose lyrics are heavily autobiographical, telling the stories of their adventures, their discomforts, and their observations. In order to capture the spirit of the music, the two found a log cabin high within the Wasatch Mountains of Utah where, along with their band and engineer, the pair converted the cabin into a temporary recording studio and tracked 14 songs – performed live, without headphones, and entirely to tape.

Jamestown Revival’s music is available for download on iTunes.
