The City of Goleta hosted a webinar last Thursday to receive public input about a proposed skate plaza at a four-acre property at Hollister and Kellogg Avenues. About fifteen skaters and community members gave input to conceptual plans created by Spohn Ranch Skate Parks, the LA-based firm that the city is subcontracting for the project. The park proposal is still pending final approval from the state of the city’s obtainment of the former Redevelopment Agency’s interest in the property; the issue is unrelated, but contingent on the city’s $18 million litigation with the state.
