As Santa Barbara fire crews fight two fires in North County — one near Lompoc that is large and growing, another close to Santa Maria that is small and nearly contained — firefighters are now heading to Goleta to battle a small vegetation blaze along Storke Road and Calle Real. So far, the fire appears to have little potential of spreading, but responders are blocking nearby roads to access the site. No evacuations have been ordered.

Check back for updates.

UPDATE, 4 p.m.: Almost as quickly as it started, the small brush fire near Storke Road and Calle Real has been put out. It’s not clear how much vegetation burned, but it was very little, and fire officials report no injuries and no structure damage. Investigators say they are looking into how the fire began.
