Amgen Race Road Impacts

Bicyclists riding in the Amgen Tour of California will come down Highway 154 and end Stage 5 of their race in Santa Barbara today. The group will make its way through the area, finishing on Cabrillo Boulevard between Garden Street and Calle César Chávez. The following roads will be temporarily closed between 2:45-3:45 p.m. today, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.

• Las Positas Road

• Cliff Drive

• Meigs Road

• Shoreline Drive

• Cabrillo Boulevard

The participants ride at about 25-30 miles per hour, and the caravan, estimated to be two miles in length, should pass any given point in about five minutes.
