Klutzy (Drunk?) Vandal Caught on Tape

Santa Barbara police are asking the public to help identify a man caught on tape vandalizing a condo complex on the 3300 block of McCaw Avenue. The incident occurred on August 2 at 8:07 p.m., said police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood. The suspect, who may be associated with a black Lexus SUV, was reportedly yelling and causing a disturbance outside the complex before trying to enter through one of the unit’s doors. He then kicked over a potted plant, fell twice, and left the scene. “If you recognize this person,” said Harwood, “please contact SBPD Detective Ben Ahrens at 897-2348 / bahrens@sbpd.com or call anonymously to 897-2386.”
