Married Couple Arrested for Meth Sales

A Santa Barbara husband and wife were arrested this week for possession and sales of methamphetamine. Alejandro Mendibles Jr., 45, and Haydee Marisol Ochoa Mendibles, 41, are being held in County Jail on bail amounts of $55,000 and $30,000, respectively. Police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood said detectives started investigating Alejandro two months ago and eventually obtained a search warrant for his car and home in the 900 block of San Pascual Street. When they arrived to the location at around 7:30 p.m. on November 1, they seized a half-pound of meth from Haydee that she was reportedly carrying for her husband, who was out of custody on bail after a previous meth possession arrest. Additional drugs, cash, and paraphernalia were found in the car and home.
