Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

Community West Bank at 1501 State Street was robbed this morning, and police are on the hunt for a black male suspect approximately 40-50 years old, 6‘3” tall, and wearing a blue sweater.

Citing the unfolding situation, police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood declined to offer details on the actual robbery, which took place at 10:56 a.m., but said the man fled north on State Street and officers are at the scene. The initial call to police suggested a replica gun may have been used in the incident, but Harwood could not confirm the report.
