Soon it will be too late to vote if you do not exercise your right to a privilege many countries do not have. Please vote on November 4, or send in your absentee ballot.

Thank you Santa Barbara Independent for joining many of the organizations and publications in realizing what it will cost the county if Measure P passes by coming out in support of a “no” vote on Measure P. I encourage each and every eligible voter to vote and especially remember that we have lived with oil for 115 years without dire consequences. Let’s leave well enough alone while the oil producers develop and use new methods of preserving the earth every day yet providing what is still needed. The loss of $300 million a year will increase your taxes. Please mark “no” on your ballot for Measure P.
