Measure P: Selling Out

We are wondering: What is The Independent‘s conflict of interest in encouraging us to vote “no” on Measure P?

It appears that you are no longer “Independent.”

How much did it cost to get your paper to betray its readers, or were the full page ads enough?

Many of us have relied upon The Independent‘s endorsements as a source of how to vote for the environment and social justice!

Straight Talk on Measure P” in Opinions conveys the truth, whereas your Teflon piece under Endorsements resembles Big Oil’s distortions of the truth. Shame, shame, shame.

We feel like we’ve lost a trusted friend. If you are hurting for money, maybe you could do a big fund-raiser — anything other than selling out!
