Measure P: Litigation as a Weapon


Linda Krop covered most bases in her article in last week’s paper. Thanks for including it. But your argument on fear of litigation defies decades of overwhelming evidence. Litigation has always been the major weapon not only to beat down opposition to operations but inflict punishment on it as well.

Winning an election by threat of lawsuits encourages more threats and suits. That’s why Texas, Oklahoma, and Alaska are so polluted.
