Measure P: No? Really?

Really, endorsing No on P? I am stunned. All these years, even before you took over the paper from S.B. News and Review, I have been proud to live in city that offered a free newspaper representing my liberal and progressive views. The Independent has been a powerful form of connection to an under-represented alternative community — a newspaper that has always supported issues promoting a healthy environment. Clearly, as expressed by your endorsement of No on Measure P, those days are gone. I am so sorry for that. Looks like I might as well start buying the News-Press again. One press is as good as the other.
