County Shuts Off Beach Showers During Drought


Addressing the drought, officials have tightened the spigot at seven showers across county beaches, shutting off three at Jalama Beach and one each at Goleta Beach, Arroyo Burro Beach, Lookout Park Beach, and Rincon Park Beach. The County Parks department has also halted power-washing of the Goleta Pier and frequent washing of department vehicles, and has lowered watering across all of its parks by at least 30 percent.
