Marie Autumn “Peanut” Smith

Marie Autumn “Peanut” Smith delighted her mom and dad when she arrived, as they predicted, right on her due date, which fewer than 5 percent of babies tend to do. She’s obviously inherited her mom’s love of deadlines met (mom Amy is The Indy‘s copy chief), as well as her childhood long blonde hair. From dad Mike she got her excellent sleeping skills and calm demeanor; she was peaceful and bright-eyed when she arrived at 11:03 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, at 7 pounds, 6 ounces, 20 inches, making the San Luis Obispo high school sweethearts, married five years this summer, the happiest of families.
