One Officer Hospitalized After Two Motorcycle Cops Collide

A Santa Barbara motorcycle officer was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after he collided with another motorcycle cop at the intersection of Mission and De La Vina streets. The two were riding side-by-side when they ran into each other at about 1 p.m. No other vehicles were involved, and it’s unclear what caused the accident.

The hospitalized officer was treated for minor injuries at Cottage Hospital and released, authorities said. The injured officer has reportedly been a motorcycle cop for three years. The other officer, four years. Their names were not released.
