Police Report Less Fiesta Crime

Lighter Crowd Draws Fewer Citations Than Last Year

Police say Fiesta celebrations this year seemed to attract a lighter crowd, and there were fewer citations than last year. From last Wednesday to Sunday, there were 10 felony arrests (most were warrants or drug possessions), 86 misdemeanor arrests, 12 DUIs, and 224 citations for traffic tickets. Also, there were 26 citations issued during the cruiser ride on Sunday that had an estimated 500 participants.
