At least ten cars were burglarized Thursday and Friday night in the Orcutt area.

Valuables like purses, wallets, laptops, and presents were stolen from at least ten cars on Thursday and Friday night in the Orcutt area, according to a Sheriff’s Office release.

Around half of the cars had been left unlocked and half were broken into through the window. “In all of the cases, items were left in the vehicles in plain view,” said the Sheriff’s Office release. Sheriff’s detectives, who ask those with information to call (805) 683-2724 or to call anonymously at (805) 681-4171, are investigating this string of car burglaries. These burglaries come just after 33 cars were vandalized late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning on Santa Barbara’s Westside.
