The final work — installing signs and striping — on the six-mile carpool lane on Highway 101 from Mussel Shoals to Carpinteria will start on Sunday, resulting in some intermittent lane and off-ramp closures.

On Sunday at 9 p.m., up to two lanes of the northbound section between Mobile Pier and Casitas Pass Road will shut down until the following morning at 6 a.m. From Monday through Friday, that stretch will experience closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Heading southbound, a maximum of two lanes will close from Monday through Wednesday, between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. The northbound Bates Road off-ramp will be off-limits between midnight and 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
