Anacapa Post Office to be Renamed

Rep. Lois Capps introduced a bill to rename the Anacapa Street post office to the Special Warfare Operator Master Chief Petty Officer (SEAL) Louis ‘Lou’ J. Langlais Post Office Building. A Santa Barbara High School graduate, Langlais was killed in August 2011 when his helicopter was shot down in Eastern Afghanistan. “While we lost him too soon,” Capps said, “I hope my colleagues will join me in renaming the Santa Barbara Post Office to serve as a tribute to his sacrifice, to honor his family, and to keep his memory alive in our community.”
