No Vote in Vote

The lawsuit to force the city to have district elections was recently settled in favor of district elections and expedited to have it apply this November. The two parties settled the suit that determines how Santa Barbara will vote.

I deeply resent not having a vote in how I vote.

Expediency is no substitute for democracy. What they call a settlement I call a coup d’etat.

The City Council should place the issue of at-large or district elections on the November ballot for the People to decide.
