3/13: High School Baseball: San Marcos at Santa Barbara San Marcos has a reason to be optimistic about this season after a decade of domination by Santa Barbara (the Dons are 28-3 against the Royals since 2005). The Royals (2-2 through last week) opened the season with three pitchers combining on a no-hitter against Hueneme, and sophomore shortstop Kyle Gonzalez is hitting .583. The Dons (3-0) posted shutouts in their first three games, with junior Kevin Gowdy and senior Trevor Moropoulos picking up the victories.
