State Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson announced a bill last week that would require high school health classes to enhance sexual-assault prevention in their curricula and teach the recently passed “Yes Means Yes” law, an affirmative consent standard that targets college campuses. In the Santa Barbara Unified School District, a six-week workshop called “What is LOVE” began in January.
