S.B. Cities Hosting Special Olympics Athletes

Goleta ​— ​along with several cities across Southern California, including Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Solvang ​— ​will serve as a host town this summer for athletes and coaches ahead of the 2015 Special Olympics World Games. Goleta will host delegations from Bhutan, Panama, and Qatar. The games, which start in late July in Los Angeles, will feature 7,000 athletes from 177 nations.
