Five Arrested for Robbery in Isla Vista

Five suspects were arrested in Isla Vista early this morning after two reports of robberies early Sunday and Monday on the 6500 block of Seville Road. One suspect — a white, twenty-something man, 5‘11” and about 165 pounds who was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt — has yet to be found, according to UCSB’s campus alert system. Authorities received reports about this robbery at about 2 a.m. on Monday morning.

The incident may be linked to a reported robbery by three armed suspects at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday at the same location on Seville Road. One suspect might have had a firearm, according to the campus alert. The Sheriff’s department is handling the case. No further information was immediately available.
