Missing Child Found in Siskiyou County
Three-Year-Old Boy, Abducted by Mother, Reunited with Father
District Attorney Joyce Dudley announced Wednesday that Faith Merritt, the mother from Carpinteria accused of abducting her three-year-old son Maxwell DiNardo in late July and violating a custody agreement with his father, has been arrested and taken into custody in Siskiyou County.
Maxwell, whose father will be given custody, was recovered in good health. Merritt will be transported to Santa Barbara County where she faces arraignment on charges of felony child abduction as well as violating a court-ordered custody arrangement.
