Adoptable Pet of the Week

Dexter is a spunky, loving, and athletic boy who is looking for his forever home. We believe that Dexter is a Shepherd Mix, about two or three years old. Dex is the definition of happy-go-lucky; he adores anything and anyone he meets. He has a thirst for adventure and loves to explore anything his nose can reach. He can play off-leash with big dogs and he can be friends with the little ones too, though his play style might be too much for a small dog to handle. Those who have interacted with Dexter say he adores playing fetch with either a ball or a Frisbee. We think he would make a spectacular Frisbee or agility dog! Dexter seems like the type of dog that can handle as much activity as one can give him. If you are a jogger or hiker and are looking for a companion dog, Dexter might just be a good fit for you! For more on Dexter, Please call Dog Adoption & Welfare Group at (805) 681-0561 or e-mail us at
