The dead body of a man believed to be in his fifties was found Thursday morning in the Santa Barbara Harbor, said police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood.

Around 6:40 a.m., two passersby retrieved an apparently dead body they saw “floating facedown in the water,” and called the police, Harwood said. Police reported no indications of foul play in the unidentified man’s death, now being examined by the Sheriff’s Coroner. According to Harwood, “It looks as if this person ended up in the water and drowned.”
