Residents Can Participate in Nwaba’s Run to Rio

U.S. heptathlon champion Barbara Nwaba trained to qualify for the Rio Olympic Games with the support of the Santa Barbara Track Club. On Saturday, July 23, the SBTC will host an Olympic-style fund-raiser to celebrate Nwaba’s upcoming departure for Rio de Janeiro.

Three events will be conducted at the Westmont College track from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. – an obstacle course, 800-meter time trial, and the Friends & Family 4x400 relay.

Tickets per event are $10, or families can purchase a pack of three tickets for $16.
