So Long, Fiesta Pancake Breakfast

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Barbara was founded in 1922, making it one of the oldest service clubs in our community. The Kiwanis Club of Santa Barbara has proudly sponsored the annual Fiesta Pancake Breakfast in Alameda Park the past 65 years. In recent years, the Kiwanis Club has determined the increasing amount of money required for park fees and permits has diminished the proceeds to the point the breakfast is no longer economically viable. We invite all to come celebrate our final Fiesta Pancake Breakfast with us on Saturday, August 6, at Alameda Park.

We would like to thank the participants who have attended and supported this event throughout the years. In addition, the longtime sponsors need to be recognized: Jordano’s, Mission Linen, MarBorg, Berry Man, Green Star Coffee, Karl Storz Imaging, and Bartlett, Pringle and Wolf. Additional sponsors include Schwann Excavation, Bryant and Sons, and O’Connor Pest Control.

The club is hopeful you will support the new Kiwanis fundraiser, the Boots’n’Brews Invitational Beer Festival at the Carriage Museum on October 29, 2016. If you would like to learn more about the Kiwanis Club of Santa Barbara, please call (805) 569-0731.

Peter Georgi has been a member of Kiwanis since 1978.
