Auxiliary Police Station Proposal

The City of Santa Barbara should give consideration to acquiring or leasing the abandoned eyesore General Fremont U.S. Army Reserve Center located at the corner of State Street and Los Positas Road to use as an auxiliary police station. It would improve policing and police response times as to upper State Street, San Roque, Samarkand, Hidden Valley, and the northwest sections of the city. It would also relieve the old congested police station and congested police presence at Figueroa Street.
