Red, White, and Blue Options

Since a few years back, day in and night out, I have spent more than enough time listening to Fox and CNN with the understanding that my half of my time I am watching a commercial. In my opinion it’s not really news, it is just the options the left and right parties have.

In the United States, out of 300 million people, including the House of Representatives and the Senate, and all the qualified people of the universities and highly educated people in the other parties, these two are our only options for president. This is from one of the most powerful nations in the world.

What a shame for Mother Earth. We have more refugees around the world, more homeless in our country, and we have more gun violence going on around us than before. As red, white, and blue we stand for democracy and human rights for all kinds.

We all know the young ones’ future is deeply troubled, adults are living paycheck to paycheck, the health care system for the elderly has seen the price go through the roof. I hope this is not the dream of our founding fathers.

A week from today, we’re going to have a new leader, even though 80 percent of the people don’t care to see him or her leading them. This is the way democracy works, I guess, in America.

I feel hopeless when I look into the future. Being in the moment I feel hurt and shame. When I look at the past, I understand that we have come a long way to get here as red, white, and blue. Wish you all the best for November 8.
