Let’s Get It Started, Uh-Huh

Thank you, Beach City, thank you for all you’ve brought to the Mesa! In particular we’ve been admiring the artwork (tags) of late adorning the perimeter of the grounds. The graffiti really adds texture and emotion to the smashed bottles of Hennessy, beer bottles, and trash that is hurled onto Loma Alta.

Surely the proposed doubling of the amount of students who live there can only brighten and enlighten the surrounding environment. It was so drab and dull on the Mesa before “The BC” and, frankly, almost sterile without the nightly parties, fights, drag racing on Cliff, motorcycle accidents, ambulances, and throngs of party-goers of every country who wind their way up and down Coronel and Loma Alta to that “other” neighborhood. Just go to the bathroom in the bushes, break into cars, and steal more bikes because you know everyone does it everywhere anyway.

The bars are so lame for closing at 2, so we’re stoked the kids have somewhere to go to party and be safe until 5. We also appreciate the hillside Techno Pool Parties that run until 4 a.m. that remind us so much of the fun we had at Señor Frog’s. Gotta love those fireworks — no waiting for the 4th of July around here (Was that a gun? No … ? An M80!)

So scream louder, kids. Scream until your voices are heard, and your rights to party are approved by the Santa Barbara council and funded by Mr. St. George to get this party really started. There’s no grown-ups here at all, so Beach City is the place to go if you want a super-fun college experience.
