Collision Closes State Street Briefly

A vehicle ran into a UPS truck at State and De la Guerra this morning, closing Santa Barbara’s main street temporarily on Thursday. Police officers were directing traffic around the block, one of Santa Barbara’s busiest with the Paseo Nuevo mall and City Hall nearby, until a tow truck could arrive to remove the disabled vehicle, said Sgt. Joshua Morton of the Santa Barbara Police Department. No injuries were reported.
