Single Elimination Playoffs Start for Chargers on Friday, May 18, 3:15 p.m.

Isaac Coffey and Dylan Kelley lead a seasoned roster that includes 11 seniors. They have to stay strong to keep it going in the single-elimination playoffs. Newbury Park (13-8) is co-champion of the Marmonte League. Looming in the second round next Tuesday is a possible clash with No. 2–seeded Huntington Beach (25-5). Frontier League champion Bishop Diego has a home game Thursday (May 17) against St. Anthony in Division 6, and Santa Barbara High went into the Division 2 playoffs as a wild-card team, hoping to advance to a road game Friday at Camarillo. 3:15pm.
